Tucker’s Orange Monster Crusher’s basketball team went undefeated (9-0).  His coaches gave each player a giant trophy that stands 4’9″, no joke. Tuck’s baseball team, South Bay Brokers, are (2-1-3). He is hitting the ball harder and farther and his in-fielding is getting better.

Estelle is a sweet child who loves to play with her friends, work on her ABC’s and numbers, watch videos on the Ipad, sing, dance and giggle. She still has hip hop class, my gym and swim lessons.  She is a bundle of joy but challenges and negotiates with us often. She and Tucker love each other and it’s wonderful to see them play so well together.

I want to share a personal story to live life to the fullest and to love one another.

My family is safe and sound.  We are thankful to be alive.  My son Tucker (7) and daughter Estelle (4) were in the back of my Cadillac Escalade in their Britax Car seats and incurred minor bruises and aches. Eliza has back and neck pain and I received a laceration to my head and a few minor scrapes.

This story is being told to encourage others to call, text, email or meet up with their family and friends and let them know how much they love them.

We were coming home from Palm Springs on the 91 after Easter break.  We were driving in the carpool lane when a driver on our passenger side fished tailed out of control and hit my back right wheel. The initial force slammed us in the median and blew off my back left tire. On three wheels, we flew across all 6 lanes heading toward the guard rail, luckily no one hit us again. The guard rail held us from going down a ravine which would have been deadly. Once we hit guard rail, the speed and force flipped the Escalade over and we spun a few times while upside down.  I unbuckled my seat belt and had to kick my squashed half door open to make sure my crying kids were unharmed.  I pushed their airbag out of the way and climbed through their window to unbuckle our son and then a person, who pulled over to help, climbed in the other window to unbuckle our daughter.  We all went to the ER by ambulance for x-rays and CAT scans and we were released later that night.

Thank god and the angels above for keeping us safe!
